DevOps Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented DevOps Engineer to play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, Kafka, Ansible, Terraform, security best practices, and logging and monitoring with the ELK stack, Grafana, and Prometheus. In addition, experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB is highly valued.

Day to Day Activities Include

What you'll do

Design, implement, and manage our cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
Deploy, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
Manage and support Kafka clusters, ensuring data streaming and messaging capabilities are reliable and efficient.
Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform for provisioning and configuration management.
Automate routine tasks and workflows using Ansible to streamline operations.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure the security and compliance of our systems.
Implement and manage the ELK stack for log and monitoring purposes.
Utilize PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases, including setup, configuration, and maintenance.
Implement and manage monitoring solutions such as Grafana and Prometheus for observability and performance monitoring.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance, reliability, and resource utilization.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Minimum qualifications

What you’ll bring

Proven experience working as a DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on AWS, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, Kafka, Ansible, Terraform, security, ELK monitoring, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Grafana, and Prometheus.
AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) is a plus.
Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc).
Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD best practices.
Strong understanding of security best practices and the ability to implement security controls.
Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
