Backend Software Engineer (Typescript)
Mission:
Join us in pioneering Saudi Arabia’s first nationwide rapid EV charging network. As a developer for our in-house EVIQ (https://www.eviq.sa/en/) platform, you will shape the future of sustainable transportation, creating a legacy in eco-friendly innovation.
Your work on our CPMS and eMSP services will directly enhance the EV driving experience with a seamless app for locating, reserving, and paying for charging services.
Plus, you’ll empower operators with critical insights to maintain an efficient and reliable network.
You will be part of a greenfield project with the opportunity to leverage cloud-native and serverless technologies, all while enjoying corporate backing with the agility and freedom of a startup environment.
Day to Day Activities Include
What you'll do
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-availability backend services and APIs
;Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server- side logic
;Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability
;Contribute to the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding, debugging, and testing
;Work closely with the product team to understand end-user requirements and translate them into technical specifications
;Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to apply them in project development.
Minimum qualifications
What you’ll bring
5 years of experience in backend development
Programming Languages: Typescript, Java, Python, Bash Scripting
Experience with database technologies (e.g., MySQL, NoSql, PostgreSQL)
Very Good Knowledge of cloud services (e.g., AWS)
Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
Clean Code and knowledge of design patterns in software development
Backend Development: Node.js, Nest.js, Spring Boot
Very Good Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
Familiarity with Software Architecture
